Scholarships available range from 10 to 50 percent of tuition for each award, depending upon the specific scholarship programme.

 

Available scholarships and eligibility are outlined below. Both international and Chinese students are eligible unless otherwise noted. Successful applicants can be awarded only one scholarship per year, scholarships may not be combined.

 

The XJTLU scholarship committee meets to consider scholarship awards to students who have already received an offer of admission approximately five times per year from mid-November to mid-June. You are encouraged to apply early for admission to XJTLU programmes to ensure availability of scholarship opportunities.

UNDERGRADUATE

ENTRY SCHOLARSHIP FOR OUTSTANDING ACADEMIC APPLICANTS

We offer an entry scholarship of up to RMB 44,000 (or up to 50 percent of the tuition fee) per year for international and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan undergraduate students, based on academic excellence. Your indication of interest during the online programme application process and filling in the ‘XJTLU Entry Scholarship’ section are required to be considered for this scholarship. Entry scholarships are renewable annually subject to continued strong academic performance. The panel that makes decisions on entry scholarship awards meets at various times throughout the year and you are encouraged to apply early for admission to XJTLU undergraduate programmes to ensure availability of scholarship opportunities. Deadlines throughout the year are:

 

  • First round: 30 November 2019
  • Second round: 29 February 2020
  • Third round: 15 April 2020
  • Fourth round: 15 May 2020
  • Fifth round: 15 June 2020

 

Please note the final application deadline is 15 June 2020.

 

THE UNIVERSITY OF LIVERPOOL 2+2 DISCOUNT

Continuing XJTLU students who choose the 2+2 studey route and transfer to The University of Liverpool for years Three and Four will be offered a discount of 10 percent off the tuition fees of the University of Liverpool.

 

PROGRESSION SCHOLARSIP

Progression scholarships are awarded based upon a student’s average marks in the previous academic session. The award for first class marks is currently RMB 10,000; the award for second class marks is RMB 5,000. Nominations are considered automatically, there is no need for students to apply.

 

SUMMER UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

XJTLU students may apply to conduct a funded summer research project with expert research project with expert research staff supervision. These prestigious fellowships are highly sought after as an excellent learninh experience and resume builder for graduate programmes and employment. STUDY DUSHU LAKE AMBASSADOR SCHEME

Up to 25 percent reduction of annual tuition fee and work placement maybe available for all continuing students.

 

MASTERS

ALUMNI DISCOUNT

If you are a graduate of XJTLU, the University of Liverpool or Xi’an Jiaotong University, you will automatically receive a discount of 20 percent off masters tuition fees.

 

MASTERS ENTRY SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: 15 June 2020

 

We offer a generous entry scholarship of up to 50 percent of the total programme tuition fee for all full-time masters programmes based on academic merit. Your indication of interest during the online programme application process and a scholarship application letter are required to be considered for an XJTLU masters scholarship. Scholarships are available for full-time study only, and there are currently no scholarships available for part-time programmes. You are encouraged to apply early for admission to XJTLU master’s programmes to ensure availability of scholarship opportunities.

 

The meeting schedule for masters entry scholarship panel is:

  • First round - Early January 2020
  • Second round - Mid March 2020
  • Third round - Mid May 2020
  • Fourth round - Early July 2020

XJTLU MASTERS 'FRIENSHIP' SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS FROM RUSSIA, THAILAND AND INDONESIA

Deadline: 15 June 2020

The XJTLU masters 'friendship' scholarships are offered to students from Russia, Thailand and Indonesia in recognition of the contribution students from these countries make to the international environment of XJTL's campus.

 

Scholarships

 

Scholarsips will be awarded to up to five students from each country (up to 12 students in total) to the value of 30 percent of the total programme tuition fee.

 

Eligibility

Applicants must be residents from Russia, Thailand or Indonesia and meet the minimum entry requirements.

 

Process

Application from students from Russia, Thailand and Indonesia who have applied for the scholarship will be reviwed by the XJTLU Masters Scholarship Panel Regularly. Please indicate your interest in the programme application process and submit a scholarship application letter online. Successful candidates will be notified and receive 30 percent off their total tuition fee.

 

GOVERNMENT TALENT SELECTION PROGRAMME FOR STUDENTS STUDYING THE MASTERS IN SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION

Deadline: 30 June 2020

The aim of this scholarship is to create the next generation of civil engineering professionals to support infrastructural development, especially through the Belt and Road Initiative.

 

Scholarships

This government scholarship will waive the full tuition fee and provide a basic living allowance to support students during the 18 month programme, including free Chinese language classes.

 

Eligibility

 

  • Only available for applicants to the full-time MSc programme
  • Be a non-Chinese national
  • Meet all the admission criteria for the programme
  • Be under 30 years of age at start of the programme (September 2020)
  • Live outside China at the time of application (or be an international student at a university in Jiangsu Province)
